SIMON & SCHUSTER AUSTRALIA ACQUIRES NEW SERIES FROM BLOCKBUSTER THRILLER AUTHOR

Simon & Schuster Australia is delighted to announce the acquisition of The Forsaken and two further titles by Matt Rogers. World rights were acquired by Associate Publisher Anthea Bariamis, in a three-book deal brokered by Daniel Pilkington.

Matt Rogers is already a bestselling thriller author who has established a huge readership via Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing platform. Within six years of beginning his career as a self-published author, Matt has sold over a million copies across his many novels. Matt has authored and self-published thirty-six novels and thirteen novellas, achieving 400,000 outright sales and a staggering 340,000,000 page reads in Kindle Unlimited, equivalent to a further 850,000 copies. Along the way, he has built a loyal fan base of passionate readers.

The Forsaken is the first instalment in a new action-packed thriller series following hitman Logan Booth, whose life is upturned when he discovers he’s been working for the CIA, not a vigilante group as he was led to believe. Things take a turn for the worse when Logan lands in trouble alongside recovering drug addict Alice Mason, who becomes a key witness in an unlikely murder plot.

On signing with S&S, Matt said, ‘Crafting my traditional publishing debut, The Forsaken, has been a labour of love, and I’m over the moon to have found the perfect home for this story with Anthea and the whole wonderful team at Simon & Schuster. I can’t wait for readers to meet Logan Booth and Alice Mason.’

Anthea Bariamis added, ‘I’m beyond thrilled to publish the Logan Booth series – Matt is extraordinarily talented and hardworking, and only at the very beginning of his career. I can’t wait to bring his incredible storytelling to more readers across the world!’
Simon & Schuster will publish The Forsaken in 2025.
