About The Book

Three years after their brother vanished on a deadly mountain, two sisters return to uncover a truth someone is willing to kill for.

Three years ago, Pete disappeared in the remote wilderness of Tasmania's Abel Mountains.

The search ended. The questions didn't.

Now, bound by their dying mother's final wish, estranged sisters Hallie and Gertie return to the place that tore their family apart, determined to discover what really happened to their brother.

Their only lead is a mysterious group known as the Peakers—the last people to see Pete alive.

But the deeper the sisters venture into the shadow of Mount Mercy, the more unsettling the truth becomes. The Peakers are hiding something. The mountain is keeping secrets. And someone is prepared to do whatever it takes to ensure those secrets remain buried.

As old wounds resurface and danger closes in, Hallie and Gertie find themselves fighting not only for answers, but for their lives.

Atmospheric, haunting, and utterly gripping, this suspense-filled thriller combines family secrets, wilderness survival, psychological tension, and a chilling mystery that will keep listeners hooked until the very last revelation.

Perfect for fans of Jane Harper, Yellowjackets, and dark, immersive thrillers where the landscape is every bit as dangerous as the people who inhabit it.
