About The Author

Sarmistha Pritam started her career as a contributor to various Assamese newspapers and magazines and is now a well-known name in the contemporary Assamese literary scene. She has won many prestigious awards like the Assam State Government Literary Award (2015), and the Dr. Bhabendra Nath Saikia Memorial Award (2021) among others.
 
She is also an advocate for people with spinal muscular atrophy, a severe genetic disorder, from which she has been suffering from childhood. Her autobiography, Atmakathaa, published in 2011, has since been translated into English and Hindi. Apart from novels, she has also penned a children’s book called Aalfulor Sopun.
