Régis Loisel is a highly regarded French cartoonist known for his influential work in bande dessinée. He began his career in the 1970s and has become one of the most decorated figures in contemporary French comics. Loisel’s storytelling is noted for its emotional depth and inventive fantasy worlds, gained international recognition through works like La Quête de l’oiseau du temps (The Quest for the Time-Bird) and later Le Grand Mort, which he co-wrote.
