About The Author

Lourdes Heuer is the author of more than a dozen children’s books, including board books, picture books, and chapter books. She is also a poet, translator, and college professor. She is the author of two early chapter book series, the Esme! books, featuring art by #1 New York Times bestselling illustrator Marissa Valdez, and Seashell Key, as well as the bilingual board book series Teeny Tiendas. Lourdes currently resides in South Florida.
