About The Author

Dr. Joanne Cacciatore is a professor of child, youth, and family sciences at Arizona State University, founder of the MISS Foundation and Selah Carefarm, and a longtime animal lover and vegan. Her work was featured in Oprah and Prince Harry’s Apple TV series The Me You Can’t See and is the author of the bestseller Bearing the Unbearable: Love, Loss, and the Heartbreaking Path of Grief. Her heart was shattered in 1994 when her daughter, Cheyenne, died.
