Inanna Sarkis

About The Author

Inanna Sarkis is a writer, filmmaker, and storyteller of Bulgarian and Assyrian descent whose work has always been rooted in mythology, identity, and the women history forgot to name.

Inanna, Vol. 1: The Name She Lost is the culmination of a decade-long creative obsession, a graphic novel born from her Assyrian heritage and a lifelong hunger for a hero that looked like her and carried the weight of where she came from.

Across mediums, from film to the #1 fiction podcast ZAYA and now comics, she builds worlds for women who've been erased, silenced, or rewritten. She lives between Toronto and Los Angeles with her family.
