Gareth Rubin

Gareth Rubin is the Sunday Times bestselling author of The Turnglass, an ingeniously constructed mystery that intertwines stories set in nineteenth-century England and 1930s California. His other novels include Holmes and Moriarty, an official Sherlock Holmes novel authorized by the Conan Doyle Estate; Liberation Square, set in an alternative Soviet-occupied London; and The Winter Agent, a historical thriller set in Paris on the eve of D-Day. His latest novel, The Waterfall, is a companion to The Turnglass.

Rubin studied English literature at the University of St Andrews and trained at East 15 Acting School. A journalist as well as a novelist, he has written about social affairs, travel and the arts for British newspapers. He lives in London.
