Cappy McGarr is an Emmy-nominated co-founder of the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, and the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. He is the only person in history to serve on the Kennedy Center’s board during 5 presidential terms, and is a recipient of the National Medal of Arts. His writing has been published in the The Washington Post, New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Politico, and USA Today. His memoir, The Man Who Made Mark Twain Famous, and his children’s book, Sis Boom Baa, are available at retailers everywhere.
