About The Author

Axel Medellin Machain was born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1975 and started drawing comics as soon as possible. He studied Industrial Design, worked in advertisement and storyboarding, and eventually went back to making comics. Besides a long stint drawing and coloring Elephantmen (currently at Comixology Originals), he has drawn stories for Metal Hurlant, Heavy Metal, Platinum Studios, Zenescope, Boom! Studios, Image Comics, Legendary Comics, Opus Comics, Painted in Blood, among others. He has created some comics of his own, like Lil’ Cousin Holocaustica and Venus/Omega. He recently got a master’s degree in graphic narrative. In between pages, he paints and teaches the art and language of comics at universities and makes some more comics.
