Sales will take readers on a tour of her profession, asking top Australian journalists about how they chase their leads, survive in war zones, tell a story with pictures, and get the inside scoop. Giants of Aussie journalism including Lisa Millar, Kate McClymont, Hedley Thomas, Trent Dalton, Benjamin Law, Tracy Grimshaw, Richard Fidler, David Speers, Stan Grant, Niki Savva, Waleed Aly, Annabel Crabb, Karl Stefanovic, Mia Freedman and more talk candidly about their trade secrets and the lessons they have learned.

Sales views the book as a way to share some of the extraordinary insights she's gleaned from colleagues over the course of her career: 'So much of what I've learned in journalism has been because of generous colleagues who've passed on their skills and knowledge. I wanted to do this book as a way to pay it forward. Plus I have always found the public is really interested in what goes on behind-the­ scenes too.'
