About The Book

Join Benny, his mama, and their dog Bubba on a neighborhood walk as his constant “What that?” curiosity turns everyday moments into a playful, read-aloud experience full of discovery and connection.

Every parent knows the constant stream of questions that comes from a curious toddler, and Benny’s mama is no exception. After finishing her work, she takes him on a walk around the neighborhood for some quality time together, looking for interesting things—like cool colors and shapes.

Molly Schaffer’s debut board book offers a warm, relatable window into the everyday bond between mother and child, filled with big feelings, patience, and plenty of love. With a gentle, engaging rhythm, it’s an ideal read-aloud for any time of day, inviting families to slow down and savor time together.
