Raves and Reviews

“I feel seen. I don’t want to be a member of any club that will have me… except Gen X. Lisa perfectly illustrates exactly what the (truly) greatest generation needs right now, a bit of compassionate common sense.”

– Ethan Suplee, actor and American Glutton podcast host

“Finally, a book that gets Gen X—those of us who grew up with MTV, ashtrays in cars, Ronald Reagan and a front-row seat to the collapse of the Soviet Empire. The Gen X Handbook for Middle Age captures our grit, humor, and quiet rebellion.”

– Rachel Campos-Duffy, FOX News host

“In a world gone mad, Gen X has stayed sane. With practicality and humor, Lisa provides tips on leaning into that sanity. Recommend!”

– Jennifer Sey, founder and CEO of XX-XY Athletics and former senior VP and CMO at Levi Strauss & Co.

“Lisa’s book is about being a member of Gen X. She provides personal and universal insight into our changing world. It is a must read, funny, poignant, deeply honest and personal. When a writer lives through the eye of a hurricane, they can give witness to the towering, turbulent clouds of the eyewall, a wall of intense thunderstorms with the storm's strongest winds and heaviest rain, encircling the eye like a coliseum. So, buckle up Gen X and enjoy! No damage incurred except perception!”

– Robert Davi, actor, singer, iconic villain

“As a guy who’s been through the muck, I can tell you Lisa De Pasquale’s The Gen X Handbook for Middle Age nails it. This isn’t some fluffy nostalgia trip; it’s a raw, unfiltered look at a generation that learned to thrive in the chaos, not just survive it. Lisa gets the X vibe—tough, skeptical, and allergic to BS. If you’re Gen X or just want to understand why we’re the way we are and how we can get even better, this book’s your field manual. Respect earned.”

– Terry Schappert, former Army Special Forces, host of Hollywood Weapons
