Using the Deck
As we give birth to the Aquarian Age, we find our world changing almost beyond recognition. What can sustain us are the ancient ones who have lived through turbulent times and continue to whisper to us from parallel realms. Opening The Fair Folk Oracle, we may feel the embrace of the Nature Spirits. There is an invitation to increased clairvoyant awareness and an expansion of consciousness beyond our human-centric world.
The Fair Folk Oracle helps us re-imagine and re-engage the world around us. There are many Otherworlds, some we encounter in dreams, and most are beyond our comprehension. The Fair Folk Oracle is an invitation into direct knowing with some of the most ancient creator beings who know how to live in harmony with life. We might ask ourselves how we can help the New Earth emerge. Each card has a series of inquiry questions to broaden and deepen our understanding of life.
The deck is designed to help the reader develop greater awareness with the unseen realms. Once we tap into our guidance, the Wisdom Field can help us observe the blueprints and sparkle prints that our thoughts, words, and deeds will set in place both personally and collectively. As we become more attuned, we tend to choose our words and actions with more care. After all, our thoughts, words, and actions co-create the world we live in. As we work with the cards, we realize that if we pay attention, there are always signs, symbols, and help along the way. Meeting the Oracles
The Fair Folk Oracle encourages the development of innate healing, as well as the development of poetic and oracular gifts. The age we are living in requires that we make a shift from our individual natures to global awareness. When you open the deck, simply pull a card, observe the image, and notice your ordinary thoughts about it. Then empty your mind of all thoughts, feelings, history, and sensations.
Once you are clear inside, allow yourself to shift into a dreamy intuitive aware state, and receive what the card might be attempting to convey to you from higher consciousness. For those of you who are sensitive, the cards might speak and they might perhaps even ask you questions. It may be that there is a Sidhe friend who is awaiting your acknowledgement right now. There are four Guardians who act as custodians of the Four Treasures of the Tuatha Dé Danann. When you select a Guardian, they will offer the querent a specific gift or ask about unique superpowers. The Guardian cards may also simply be used with the other cards as Oracles.
Danu offers the life-affirming wisdom of the divine feminine principle. Bilé acts as a guide to ancestral realms and can also bring good fortune. King Nuada offers the gift of healing and renewal. Lugh, a god of multiple skills and talents, may ask about your own genius.

There are four Treasure cards. When you select one, there is a specific gift that the Guardian of that hallow is offering you. The Cauldron of Plenty arises out of the creative feminine principle and offers the gift of nourishment and a healthy life. The Stone of Destiny invites ancestral connection. Nuada’s Sword of Light destroys the shadows so that the good can prevail. Lugh’s Spear of Victory brings courage to heroes.

Six Spreads
There are six spreads designed specifically for The Fair Folk Oracle at the end of this book. “The Triskelion” is the first spread. It is a traditional past, present, and future reading. The second is called “A Sip of Wisdom,” which uses eight cards, and is useful for finding your life purpose and mission, and unique Color-Codes. “The Butterfly” is an eight-card reading for exploring how our personal lives interweave with the world around us, especially with The Fair Folk. It is a reading to help us fly free of the concerns of the world. The fourth spread, “The Cross of The Fair Folk,” which combines Oracle and Tarot, is discussed below. The fifth spread, “Ancient Ireland: Ancestral Power Reading,” can be undertaken as a soul journey to meet ancestral guides. “Creating New Earth” is the sixth spread, which moves into druidic ritual work.
Combining Oracle & Tarot
As you become increasingly adept at reading, you might wish to combine The Fair Folk Oracle and the Celtic Elemental Tarot. For instance, if there is a particularly challenging tarot card, the querent may wish to select a Guardian, Treasure, or the Draoi from The Fair Folk Oracle, for magical support, deeper understanding, and personal empowerment. These cards can be selected consciously, intuitively, or randomly. At the back of the book, you will find a spread and sample reading for advanced and adventurous readers, “The Cross of Th e Fair Folk” (see spread 4).

DEEP RED (Grounding): Deep Red is associated with the Earth Elementals, such as the Gnome, also with those who have the wisdom of the wild ways, such as Flidas. Deep Red helps a person grow their ancestral roots so they can feel at home and confident in the world. Deep Red is associated with indigenous cultures and times when people lived closer and more in harmony with the Earth.
RED (Strength): A fiery color, Red stimulates our appetite for adventure. It is the color of the survival drive. With Red, we feel that we have what it takes to live and thrive. Dynamic Red can help us to feel stronger, boost our confidence, and ignite our creative fire. Red gives strength to warriors, like Macha Mong Rúad. Red is related to Mars and our passion, physical drive, aggression, and courage.
CORAL (Tribe): Coral is a color associated with love, community, and Honeybees. It is healing for affairs of the heart and issues with unrequited love. It helps you feel part of your tribe, or community. Fand worked with Coral to find her right place amongst The Sidhe. Astrologically, Coral is linked to the “Part of Fortune,” as well as places on the planet where luck, happiness, and material success can be found.
ORANGE (Creativity): Warm and vibrant Orange is the color of life’s pleasures. It is a deeply healing color that can help you remake yourself again after an injury or trauma. As an essential quality, it is linked to enjoyment, laughter, nourishment, and all the good things in life. Like the playful Fire Spirits, Orange can help us to blossom. Astrologically, Orange is linked to the great benefic planet Jupiter, who helps us to creatively expand our beliefs, and encourages optimism and prosperity.
GOLD (Wisdom): Gold is associated with the rays of the Sun and a person’s unique genius. Loved by Leprechauns, Gold can manifest as coins or assets that bring wealth, abundance, and prosperity. Gold as an essence can bring brilliant insights and act as a portal to the Field of Wisdom. Ogma worked with his inner golden wisdom to create the Ogham, the ancient Irish tree alphabet. The golden Sun helps us to develop a core identity, conscious self, and can bring purpose to our lives.
YELLOW (Intelligence): Yellow stimulates the mind, inviting intelligence and inspiration. Like the sunlight emerging after a storm, Yellow clears away fear and confusion, inviting in the soul quality of joy. Sylphs and other Air Spirits love Yellow, becoming very active in the sunlight. Mercurial by nature, sunlight can travel almost anywhere bringing hope, happiness, and mental clarity. Astrologically, Yellow is linked to Mercury, intelligence, communication between worlds, and our vital force.
OLIVE (Empowerment): This earthy green color is specifically linked to the empowerment of the feminine. Olive, a muted shade of Green, is naturally harmonious and stabilizing. The color encourages artistic talent and creative vision. Astrologically, Olive is linked to wisdom, strategic planning, and the asteroid Pallas Athena. Olive can assist one in overcoming destructive patterns and reestablishing constructive ways of living. Olive is loved by Tree Spirits, Dryads, and other Ladies of the Wildwood.
