About The Author

Vanessa Bourne is an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine (Feline) with over ten years’ experience in veterinary education. She has worked as a senior clinician in first-opinion practice at the Royal Veterinary College, served as an undergraduate examiner for the University of Nottingham, and currently acts as an RCVS assessor for Advanced Practitioner status and examiner for the Statutory Membership Examinations. She has also contributed to the development of CPD programmes within the PDSA. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, reflecting her commitment to teaching and professional development in veterinary medicine.
