About The Book

Originally a way for bored shepherds to pass the time, via a first international in New York in 1844, to an estimated 60 million players worldwide today – it’s no surprise that cricket is the second most popular sport in the world.

Find out all about the sport in Cracking Cricket – full of jokes, fun facts and spotlight on famous cricketers, perfect for cricket fans and newcomers alike.

About The Author

When Robin Bennett grew up he thought  he wanted to be a cavalry officer until everyone else realised that putting him in charge of a tank was a very bad idea. He then became an assistant gravedigger in London. After that he had a career frantically starting businesses (everything from dog-sitting to tuition to translation)... until finally settling down to write improbable stories to keep his children from killing each other on long car journeys

About The Illustrator

Matt Cherry grew up writing and drawing about monsters before he was told to stop wasting pencils and get a job. He now lives on the Kent coast with his wife and two pet children where he still writes and draws everyday... only this time with a pen.
