I admit, I’m a sucker for knitted slippers. They’re warm, cozy and so comfy to spend Midwestern winter evenings in, plus they make fabulous gifts. Rae Blackledge’s book of 25 slipper patterns is full of fresh ideas including felted styles (my personal favorite because of their warmth and cushy feel), socks, boots and slippers that look like shoes--even two-tone Oxfords. The toughest task will be to choose who will receive which design or whether to keep them all for myself.
