SIMON & SCHUSTER AUSTRALIA TO PUBLISH AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF FOOTBALL LEGEND MAT ROGERS

Simon & Schuster Australia will publish the autobiography of Australian football legend Mat Rogers for Christmas 2021.

Admired nationally for his sporting prowess and resilience, Rogers played professional rugby league and union for 20 years, becoming a dual code international. More recently, he has found a new audience of fans with two memorable stints on Survivor.

Rogers is also active in raising awareness to causes close to his heart. He and his wife Chloe Maxwell speak openly about their journey with their eldest son Max, who is autistic. Their charity 4ASD kids provides support to children and families affected by autism.

“I’m thrilled to have partnered with Simon & Schuster on this project,” says Rogers.

“Writing a book is something I’ve thought about doing for a long time and it’s finally the right time. I can’t wait to share my story.”

The book was acquired by Simon and Schuster's Non-Fiction Publisher Emma Nolan.

“Mat is an Aussie legend, who has triumphed over loss and heartache,” says Nolan.

“His powerful story will inspire and surprise readers. I’m so honoured and thrilled to work with Mat on this project.”

The book will be published for Christmas 2021.
